Is Oil Renewable or Non-Renewable?
Oil is a NON-renewable resource. Oil takes million of years to form and it shouldn't be wasted because it takes a long time to produce. Once it's all gone it would be hard to get back. That's why the gas prices are rising each day because oil is becoming harder and harder to find. Due to the declining oil amounts, company's are finding oil sands. They do this because they cannot find a lot of oil in the ground, even though oil sands are more harmful for the environment than oil is. Although oil sands are harmful to the environment some people don't care about it. While others are trying to put a stop to it. The production, demand and daily use of oil makes it a necessity within our daily lives.
What is it used for?/made into?
Oil is used in everyday life. One example is for transportation vehicles which includes cars, trains, jets, etc. The fuels it makes are gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Most of the oil we use is for transportation. Using all this oil hurts the environment, we use it for everyday commute. There are also more uses for oil like manufacturing. This is when your making plastic and different items that need oil to work the machine. We get thousands of products because of oil. That is why in time there won't be enough for us. There is also electrical generation. We use it to produce energy and electricity, but what we should be using is solar power energy. This is an alternative way to save oil.
